This is a program of the American Cancer Society. A soft form can be sent immediately following breast surgery. Your healthcare provider needs to call. In addition, trained volunteers who themselves had breast cancer may visit you and provide support and information
- Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
Susan G. Komen is a national organization of volunteers working through local chapters to raise money for breast cancer research, education, treatment and screenings. Since 1982, Komen has raised over $90 million. Funds area available for the underserved population for preventative methods, such as mammography and clinical breast exams.
- Y-Me National Breast Cancer Hotline
The most comprehensive breast cancer support program in the country; a 24-hour hotline for peer counseling on breast cancer topics; pre-surgical counseling; newsletters; and a wig and prosthesis bank for women with limited financial means.
